The calls of a pair of Great Hornbills in Thailands rainforest. Great Hornbills make growling, deep 'gok' sounds, often in duet and in flight. These loud calls along with the pounding of their heavy wingbeats are an evocative sound of the tropical rainforest in parts of South-east Asia. • The Great Hornbill sounds in this video spectrogram were recorded in Sri Phang-Nga National Park, Thailand. Great Hornbills (Buceros bicornis) are found throughout much of South-east Asia and in parts of the Indian subcontinent.
