This instrument is called a waterphone and it's often used to create creepy sounds in movies. It is an inharmonic acoustic percussion instrument and consists of a stainless steel resonator with a cylindrical 'neck' and bronze rods of different lenghts and diameters around the rim of the bowl. The instrument was invented by Richard Waters in 1968 ir 1969.
