Tutorial leather edge finishing

re-upload - original video had very low audio. • It's been a while since I've done a tutorial video and a lot of people locally have been getting into doing a bit of their own leatherwork. One of the issues I see regularly is unfinished edges. I was lucky enough that the first time I went shopping to make my own gear the guy at Lefflers (our local leather stuff store) asked me what I was going to do to my edges. I had no answer, and after a quick demonstration of an edge beveller he had me sold. Some time later I learnt about slicking edges and never looked back. • Something I don't mention in the video is slicking in relation to dying the leather. You can do it before or after, I tend to do it after, or both (you can never slick the edge too much). • You can see more of our work here: / leatherwok
