How to care for and restore a closed terrarium • This is the update on the Planted jar terrarium build from October 2020. • This was also one of my failed terrariums that had to be rebuilt after 6 months. I am including the links to both the videos below (the original build and the rebuild) • • Planted Jar || How to make a nature t... • • Video • However it needed one more rebuild 3 months later which was not filmed. I attributed the failures to a rubber gasket on the lid that was getting moldy very fast so I decided to remove the rubber gasket altogether post which the terrarium has been doing very well. • In this video I have demonstrated how I go about a care and look restoration work on an old and overgrown terrarium. I did an overall trimming of plants and moss. I added some fresh moss and topped up the sand pathway with some lava rocks. I also added some small plant to enhance the scape.
