The clip follows film editor and collector Roger McKenzie as he travels from Gosford to Fassifern in NSW - a popular place for rail enthusiasts to observe 60 class Garratt steam locomotives in the late 1960s and early 1970s. • After backing out of the colliery they put on an impressive performance, climbing up the grade heading toward Port Waratah. McKenzie manages to get behind the scenes by travelling out to Newstan Colliery and films the train shunting before commencing its journey. • The next scenes are from the footplate of 6002 (the second engine on the train - with 6019 leading) as it travels north to Port Waratah. • Read more about the railway films shot by Roger McKenzie on the NFSA blog: • https://www.nfsa.gov.au/latest/trains... • NFSA title: 806482
