Step-by-step guide to getting your Blender scenes into After Effects. • After Effects is a really powerful compositing tool which does loads of cool things, but it's not a 3D package. Since Adobe CC was introduced Cinema4D Lite has been bundled with it, but this is hugely limited. Blender is free, open-source 3D software which has lots of potential, but it has a steep learning curve. I've created a series of videos to cover the basics of using it from the perspective of an After Effects artist. • In this video, I'm going to show you how to use an Add-On in Blender which will output camera, lights and object data for After Effects. I'll then show you how to import this into After Effects. • ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- • Get ShiveringCactus VFX as phone cases, T-shirts, mugs: https://www.redbubble.com/people/Shiv... • Or buy me a coffee: https://ko-fi.com/shiveringcactus • Bartek Skorupa's python code: • https://developer.blender.org/diffusi... • Note • It looks like Bartek's website is down and the developer pages at Blender.org have been updated, so the link no longer works. I've placed a copy of the python file in my dropbox account so that people can still access it, but I'm no coder, so I can't update the code. • If anyone knows where the original is linked to, I'll update that here too, but in the meantime: • https://www.dropbox.com/s/2cyx55sw5nm... • • #aftereffects #tutorial #blender • ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- • Twitter: / shiveringc
