How to Smoke the Juiciest Boneless Turkey Breast with Texas Butter 🦃🔥 • Juicy, smoky, and dripping with buttery goodness—this smoked turkey breast with Texas butter is an excellent way to elevate your Thanksgiving meal. Here’s how I made it: • Ingredients • • 1 (2-3 lbs.) boneless turkey breast • • BBQ rub of choice • • 1 ½ stick (12 T) butter, melted • • 1 tsp garlic paste (or minced garlic) • • 1 T Dijon mustard • • ½ lemon, juiced • • ½ tsp paprika • • ½ tsp cayenne pepper • • ½ tsp salt • • ½ tsp black pepper • • 1 tsp parsley (or paste if injecting) • • 1 tsp chives (or paste if injecting) • • 1 cup vegetable oil • Steps to Perfection: • 1️⃣ Combine 8T of the butter plus the next 9 ingredients until well combined and keep at room temperature. Inject the turkey breast with that rich Texas butter all over. If you’re skipping the injection, save the butter for glazing later. Rub it down generously with BBQ seasoning and let it chill in the fridge for 2-3 hours. • 2️⃣ Smoke at 225°F until the internal temp hits 130-140°F. • 3️⃣ Wrap the turkey in foil, pour over some of that buttery goodness, and return it to the smoker. Let it cook to 160-162°F. • 4️⃣ Rest the turkey for 20 minutes while the carryover heat takes it to 165°F.
