Repairing Broken Office Chair Back

In this video, I demonstrate how to repair the backing hinges of a office chair. One day, months ago, I accidentally broke the backing of my chair which caused me to lean back an additional 8 degrees or so. I didn't think much of it but over the following months, I began to lean back another 7 or 8 degrees for a total of close to 15 degrees of increased reclining. My chair already is a 45 degree recline - quite exaggerated to begin with. So as I noticed the reclining angle creeping more and more, I began to find it was like LAYING DOWN in my chair at some point! Things had gone too far! So I investigated and found out that the chair backing support brackets had ripped apart and the one remaining bracket had gotten loose. The bolts holding the brackets in the chair had snapped in two. So in this video, I demonstrate how i rebolted down the chair's brackets using wood screws, metal washers, and epoxy putty. I managed to successfully repair the chair and return it to a more reasonable posture. • • http://www.artbyrobot.com •   / artbyrobot   • https://plus.google.com/+artbyrobot1 •   / realistic-humanoid-robot   •   / artbyrobot   •   / artbyrobot   •   / www   •   / artbyrobot   • To send me a one-time donation: https://streamtip.com/t/artbyrobot • To send me an automated monthly donation:   / artbyrobot
