Not only that, but they also have self-enhancing spells like horn of winter, anti-magic shield, and many more that make them a terror to spellcasters and plate-wearing classes alike. • Not only is the class fun to play, but they are DEATHLY powerful in both PvE and PvP. With the ability to be a top-tier tank as Blood specialization, as well as a top tier in terms of damage for both Unholy and Frost specializations, you can play any way you’d like as a Death Knight. • Not only do Death Knights bring damage to a raid but they have powerful Raid-Wide Buffs such as Ebon Plague, which grants 13% increased magic damage taken on targets, AND Improved Icy Talons which grants 20% increased melee haste and your own haste by 5%. • Top it all off with the ability to equip the new LEGENDARY in Wrath of the Lich King Called Shadowmourne and there are plenty of reasons to play a death knight in wrath of the lich king. • Now that you’re convinced Death Knights are a great choice for Wrath of the Lich King, let’s talk about what is the BEST RACE for Death Knights in Wrath of the Lich King. • Best Race for Death Knight in WotLK • This question is frequently asked because any race can be a death knight in wrath of the lich king. So, you can feel as though you have chains of ice paralyzing you from making a choice. Fret not, I will cast Hand of Freedom on you and tell you which is the best for both HORDE and ALLIANCE, starting with HORDE. • For Horde from a PvE DPS standpoint – ORC is the best. • 5 Expertise with axes (Which shadowmourne is) • Blood Fury doesn’t give you a healing debuff anymore, and grants attack power and spell damage. • And COMMAND gives your pets 5% increased damage, which means your ghoul, army of the dead, AND gargoyle, which is very powerful. • If you’re thinking about PvP – Your BEST bet is Blood Elf for the AOE silence/interrupt. It’s a close race depending if you want the nerfed version of will of the forsaken which only REMOVES fear sleep charm but doesn’t grant 5 seconds of immunity. Or if you want the Troll Berserking which was buffed, along with Da Voodoo Shuffle which reduces movement slows duration by 15%. Overall though, I think Blood Elf wins for PvP where an interrupt can win you the dual/arena/BG. • When it comes to ALLIANCE – for Pure PvE DPS – Dreanei is the best • The 1% spell and melee hit for you and your party will be sought after and useful. Human sword and mace specialization has been nerfed in wotlk and shadowmourne is an axe anyways.
