The BEST Fusion Rifles PERIOD in Destiny 2 #shorts. With the removal of Particle Deconstruction from the artifact and the double damage bonus it gave, many people are wondering how fusion rifles stack up in PvE and which will be the legendary kings. I am here to say without a doubt that the kings are the Rapid Fire Fusion rifles like Cartesian Coordinate. The main reason is because there are basically no tradeoffs for using them. Recently I updated my PvE spreadsheets with DPS tests for all major Special ammo weapon types. And from this we can clearly see that the Rapid Fire fusions are the highest DPS in the game. Which actually makes sense as most of the faster RPM weapons do more DPS. But then when you look at the total ammo damage, you see that they also have equal or BETTER numbers. Which means there’s no damage tradeoff like we see with every other weapon type. It’s usually higher DPS for lower Total Ammo Damage or vice versa. • Combine this with the faster charge time for tense situations and comfortability of higher handling and reload speed, you’re left with a weapon archetype that’s always the best choice. And I know that they have lower range and that we don't currently have an arc option, but it’s still enough to handle most situations safely outside of melee range even on Grandmaster Nightfalls.
