Dementia Friends aims to make everyday life better for people with dementia by changing the way the nation thinks, talks and acts. From giving a helping hand to someone struggling to get on the right bus, to volunteering, to encouraging someone else to become a Dementia Friend, no action is too big or too small. • We'll equip you with an understanding of dementia and how you can help, and the rest is down to you. We want Dementia Friends in every community -- in every hospital ward, post office, place of worship, and on every street. Our target is to reach a million people by 2015, and we're confident we'll not only meet this target but will beat it. Dementia Friends is an Alzheimer' s Society initiative.
