Formula Rossa is a launched roller coaster located at Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Manufactured by Intamin, Formula Rossa is the world's fastest roller coaster with a top speed of 240 km/h (150 mph). • The coaster re-creates the Formula One experience to the fullest: Riders strap into F1 shaped trains and are hurled at a top speed of 149 mph around a 1.3-mile steel track, the shape of which was inspired by the legendary Italian racetrack Autodromo Nazionale Monza.Riders experience up to 1.7 g of force during acceleration and up to 4.8 g throughout the ride. To achieve such speeds, Intamin Amusement Rides, the coaster' Liechtenstein-based manufacturer, employed a hydraulic launch system similar in concept to those that fling fighter jets off aircraft carriers.
