Yesterday, I downloaded the beta of Microsoft Office 2010. Since I haven't used any of the newer versions of MS Office, I figured I'd mess around with the program a little bit to get used to how things worked. So... yeah. :p • It also is a cool example of Powerpoint's true potential. If Microsoft added a few more things, they could have some sort of animation software, like Flash. :p • FAQ • Q: What did you use to make this video? • A: 99% of this video was made in Microsoft Powerpoint 2010 Beta. The only thing that wasn't made in Powerpoint was the sound effects. I had to use Audacity to edit those, since apparently Powerpoint can only play one sound file at a time. Oh, and I used Sony Vegas to add the credits at the end. • Q: So, wait, this is made in PowerPoint? As in the slide show software? Are you sure you didn't use Flash or something? • A: Yes, yes, and yes. Don't believe me? Download the file for yourself: • PPTX: • http://www.mediafire.com/?njw5ammwmmj • PPT (for older versions of Powerpoint): • http://www.mediafire.com/?zey5mjykyj5 • (Note: There is a big black box covering the entire slide; this is used for the fade in effect at the very beginning. You can delete it or move it out of the way if you want to take a look at the rest of the stuff in the animation.) • Q: Why is it so short? • A: I only worked on this for like, a day. It becomes boring pretty fast. :p • Q: That doesn't look at all like a level from Pacman. • A: Yeah, I realize that the level design is not the same as the original game. And I never said it was supposed to be. :p I just had to come up with something simple and easy, so that's what I did. • Q: THIS IS A VIDEO, NOT A GAME, HURR DURR • A: Umm... yeah. I never said it was a game. I said it was an animation, a.k.a. a video.
