I did his show quite a few times when he had the weekly TV show The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour.” Diamond recalls. His only concern about Campbell’s take? He didn’t consider the song complete. “Glen recorded the song before it was finished. The last verse just repeated from earlier in the song.” Diamond says.
