VIDEO TAKEN NOV. 1ST, 2007. • • For the first time ever, Lackawanna Railfest is hosting its first event at the Steamtown National Historic Site. During this event, we'll get to see a rare westbound steam-powered train; the first one since 1996! Power for the outbound trip, is powered by 2 classic ALCo C424 diesels, #2461 and #2452 down to the Delaware Water Gap. But the highlight of this excursion, is when ex-Canadian National 2-8-2 'Mikado' #3254, will fight with all its might as it tackles the steep grade, heading west on what was once, the route of the Phoebe Snow.
