In 1965, The Three Stooges - Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Joe DeRita (as Curly-Joe ) - performed live-action segments (filmed in COLOR) to introduce (and outro) Three Stooges cartoons for what was known as The New 3 Stooges TV series. • They filmed a total of 40 of these wraparound segments for the series. This video presents 14 of those 40 segments (for a total of about 34 minutes worth). I cut out the cartoons; I included only the live-action segments. • By 1965, many of the country's school PTA's had already complained about the violence of the original black-and-white Stooges' short films. • So these segments from the 1965 show were quite a bit tamer than what fans were used to.
