Whittlesea GreenWaste

One of the first councils I got down to when I was got my license was Whittlesea and reason being was to check out the variety of trucks that were being used at the time. One of of the focuses was to document the Green-Waste contract which was run by JJ Richards. In late 2007 a new Green Waste service was introduced to all Whittlesea residents as an optional service and #0805 was the first truck to start the service off. Being a late 2007 model Acco with the pre Euro4 exhaust, this was something I had to film. Sounds fantastic piercing through the streets. This was one of two trucks that were done up in the Whittlesea Green-Waste signage with the other truck being a Euro4 which would of been about a year older than this truck. Apart from the two, there was also a few fill in trucks that were put into the contract over time to keep up with the growing service and these were generally older trucks from other older contracts. • #0805 was kept on as a spare but was later retired and sold off, I did end up seeing it as a cab chassis a couple of years about at a workshop so I'm assuming it has gotten a new lease of life.
