Their site describes the sandwich as 'Melted American cheese and Grippo’s BBQ chips meld to make a crunchy creation on Texas toast'. • The Grippo's company was formed in 1919 in Cincinnati, Ohio, by Angelo Grippo. He manufactured ice cream cones, and in 1923 added pretzels.
