In this video we see various Adelaide Metro trams on the Glenelg Tram Line, which operates between the Adelaide CBD the beachside suburb of Glenelg in Adelaide's south western suburbs. The Glenelg line is Adelaide's main tram line, it opened in August 1873 as a steam hauled broad gauge railway. It was converted into a standard gauge electrified tramway in 1929, but because of its railway reserve which separated trams from other road traffic, it was the only tram line to survive the closure of Adelaide's tram network in the 1950's. • • The line was modernised in the 2000's with a new fleet and extensions through the Adelaide CBD and to the Entertainment Centre. In the video we see trams at various stops and level crossings along the former railway reserve. Trams seen include the Bombarider Flexity Classic's and the Alstom Citadis 302's. • • Date: January 2018. • • Subscribe to ThebusofdoomFSX: https://www.youtube.com/user/Thebusof... • • Facebook:   / thebusofdooms-transport-videos-27510006958...
