https://www.ProFirstAid.com - Epinephrine is the first line of defense to treat anaphylaxis. The sooner the reaction is treated, the less severe it is likely to become. People with severe allergies or a history of anaphylaxis should carry autoinjectable epinephrine with them at all times. Epinephrine typically comes as a single-dose pre-filled automatic injection device, commonly known as an epi-pen, to be injected into the thigh. This training is based on the EpiPen brand of autoinjectable ephinepherine. If you use a different brand, make sure to follow the manufacturer’s directions. Anytime an epi-pen has been used, make sure 911 has been called. The person must seek immediate medical treatment even if they feel better. • For more videos like this or to get CPR Certified please visit https://www.procpr.org • ProTrainings offers a variety of courses such as: • Bloodborne pathogens: https://www.probloodborne.com • Pet First Aid and CPR: https://www.catanddogfirstaid.com/ • Anaphylaxis: https://www.proanaphylaxis.com/ • HIPAA: https://www.prohipaa.com/ • ACLS: https://www.proacls.com/ • PALS: https://www.propals.io/ • Follow us on Twitter: / procpr • Like us on Facebook: / procpr • Follow us on Instagram: / procpr
