In 2016 we followed rappers Harris de Hakker, MellaMell and EZG to better understand the world of Dutch hooliganrap. • Hooliganism is a hobby that not many people understand. Oftentimes, the guys who participate in it feel they have been misrepresented by the media. We noticed that nowadays most football clubs have a rap anthem: a track made by guys from within the supporters scene. This goes to show that hooligan culture is not just a topic of discussion in newspapers, but also in music. Hooligan rap paints a more authentic picture of the supporter culture. • In 2016 we zoomed in on the 'hooligan rap' phenomenon and followed three rappers: PSV supporter Harris de Hakker, Ajax fan MellaMell and FC Utrecht supporter EZG.
