A few days ago we started a journey through the Mongolian countryside to the Gobi desert and aboard a Soviet van with locals we traveled thousands of kilometers through national parks, completely isolated villages, monasteries and various nomadic camps. In this remote region of the country we were very well received by several nomadic families who provided us with a true cultural immersion, introducing us to local cuisine and teaching us many things about life in the steppes.
