Foxes are omnivores. They eat fresh meats, fruits, veggies, eggs, and more. Foxes NEED taurine in their diet, they can go blind or go into kidney failure without it. They get taurine from fresh raw meats two of our foxes refuse to eat raw so I use powdered taurine to supplement. While this isn’t preferred, sometimes it’s necessary for the animals wellbeing. • It’s ALWAYS imperative to feed animals a SPECIES SPECIFIC diet. I’m a vegetarian but I won’t force the animals to eat a diet that goes against their physiology and nature. • Wizard of Paws Wildlife Education Inc. is a registered 501(c)3 Non Profit Wildlife Sanctuary in Indiana. • Foxes born in captivity can NEVER be released into the wild.
