I bought this tool today, but before looking at reviews. I love love love tools in my scrapbooking cardmaking, especially if they are multi-use. I have the Silent Setter for my eyelets, but thought this would be better since it does gromlets as well as snaps eyelets of 2 sizes.... BUT I got home quite curious on just how to use it. • [PS I'm still not sure how to use this when putting on SNAPS... Know of a vid or site explaining how? Private Message me the link!! THANKS in advance] • • • I watched vids here on YT got to know the tool a bit better. Still, though, I hadn't really tried it. I only got a layout of the tool . I was doing some product review reading on a site that sold this tool, and came across complaint after complaint on how when they were setting the 1/8 eyelets, they were cracking, splitting, *smooshing*, and the backs were just sharp metal sticking everywhere. • • • Only one person on that site said that, from somewhere, they'd learned that though they say to use the C 3 setting on your blocks, that using the C 4 setting would actually prevent the backs from becoming sharp pieces of metal. • As you can see in the pictures provided in the video, I did 2 examples using each setting, and I already saw a difference. • I agreed right off the bat - use the C 4 settings you'll be better off... The slope is much shallower and so it won't splay the back so much that it's ready to cut you open with shards of metal sticking everywhere. I think maybe if you pull back on your strength when pressing down to set it, too, the front will have even less of a chance of getting damaged as you see the C 3 setting does.... the blue one on top cracked off a piece if you can see it! Wow - so yeah... • • Thought I'd throw a vid up to help others not make the costly mistake of getting this, ruining tons of eyelets, and taking the tool back. Hopefully if we play with this tool, get to know it, and make it work FOR us and not AGAINST us, we could keep the tool instead of returning it, pitching it, or giving it away. • :) • • MUSIC: Essence by audionautix • • ---- • Thanks for watching!! • • *Wow, it's 3 months away from this having been up for 1 year, and It has 2,359 views! OMG I never noticed till now, and it's Feb. 11!! LOL Wow, I'm as observant as a blind servant at a Monastery. lol • • • ---- • KatatMKP • • [    / morbidkittyprod   ]
