Two new contingents, introduced this year, was the SAF Home Team Combined Volunteer Contingent, and the LiHo Contingent. The four guard of honour contingents accompanied the three state flags and the colours party. This year's band, which played the tunes music, includes the SAF Band, the NCC Band, the NPCC band, and the Singapore Police Band. • This year's parade ceremony segment represents the 6 pillars of total defence - social, psychological, civil, economic, military digital defence. In fact, the digital defence pillar was recently added as Singaporeans are becoming more exposed to digital threats technology.
