READ ⬇️ if You’ve got that 3pm SLUMP! • If the hormone imbalances of adrenal fatigue and/or dysregulated Cortisol got you grabbing a coffee or energy drink in the afternoon... THIS post is for you, Boo 💜 • (FYI - caffeine has a half-life that can last up to nine hours so if you choose to drink it - make sure you don’t drink it beyond the point in the day that is nine hours before you want to be asleep so you don’t wreck your sleep!) • Instead? ✅ Keep It Stupid Simple (K.I.S.S.) when you NEED an Afternoon BOOST: • Drop a pinch of sea salt (I like Redmans Real Salt) in a glass of filtered water - stir to combine drink • CAVEAT: Avoid traditional table salt because it’s generally refined sodium chloride which is devoid of minerals • ➡️ Why this works: “Water follows salt” • Our adrenal glands secrete a hormone called aldosterone which virtually controls our ability to hold onto salt (sodium) • If you are under chronic stress you have lower aldosterone and lower sodium. Since water follows salt, we lose water (frequent bathroom trips!) and then lose most of our blood volume • If we lose most of our blood volume, we can become dehydrated AND fatigued 😔 • Will you try this hack?! • ___________________________________________________________________________________ • Looking for more? • Sign up to be a part of our community (and get ONLY things I talk about over email!) sent out a few times a month: https://labwellhealthcare.com • Find me: • Instagram: / drfrancescaleblanc • Pinterest: / • ----------------------------------------------------------------- • *This content is strictly the opinion of Dr. Francesca LeBlanc, and is for informational and educational purposes only.
