The Perito Moreno glacier is a glacier located in the Lago Argentino department of the provinve of Santa Cruz, in the southwest of Argentina, in the Patagonia region, with part of its located in Natales, Chile. It is part of the Los Glaciares National Park. • This glacier originates in the southern Patagonian ice field, having part of its origin in the Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica region of Chile, integrating the Bernardo O'Higgins National Park with the limit demarcated with the 1998 agreement. • In its descent, it reaches the South arm of Lake Argentino, with a front of 5 km in length, emerging above the water with a height of bout 60 m. • Thanks to its constant advance, it forms a dam with the waters of the Rico arm of said lake, which generates a difference in level with respect to the rest of the Lake of up to 30 m. • #travel #argentina #glaciarperitomoreno
