In an Excel worksheet, if you are trying to divide by zero, then you may see #DIV/0! Error. In this video, we will learn to fix this error. Let’s see these steps to fix the divide by zero error issue. • 1. In this example worksheet, we using simple divide formula to get the cost of each item. • 2. But, in row number 5, when we are trying to divide zero by zero or as in row number eight, there is no value in the Quantity column. • 3. Then, you can see excel is giving a #DIV/0! Error in rows numbers 5 and 8. • 4. If we will write some value in the cost and quantity columns of row number 5, then it will give you the cost of each item. • 5. But, we will fix the #DIV/0! Error with a formula. • 6. Let’s select this first cell of Stud in the Cost of Each Item column. • 7. Type the following formula, =if, and from the dropdown suggestion, select the IFERROR. • 8. Now type the value, as we want to divide the cost (B column) with quantity (C column). • 9. So, the formula will be like this =IFERROR(B4/C4,” “). You can keep space in between “ ” but we are removing the space. • 10. Click on the Tick sign and this will give the value of each item. • 11. Now, click and hold the right bottom corner of the formula cell, and drag it till the last cell of this table. • 12. See, the #DIV/0! Error has been disappeared from row number 5 and row number 8. • 13. Let’s write a short message, Not Purchased in between two “ “ as used in our IFERROR formula. • 14. Drag this formula code to the last cell of the table. • 15. You will notice that now a short message is appearing in 0 divided cells instead of blank space. • • Hope this was easy to follow.
