I took the power steering pump and pulley out of a GMC Envoy and replaced it with a new one. I was able to fix the hard steering and return it back to its factory feel. The power steering pump went out after I heard a squealing noise. The 1st thing I checked was my power steering fluid and it was fine. The next thing I checked was my serpentine belt and it was also fine. • My aunt took the car to a mechanic and he was going to charge a little bit over $400.
