#fashionshow2024 #показмоды #maxmara • The Max Mara Resort 2024 collection is a combination of high Italian craftsmanship with Swedish folklore and is imbued with the spirit of a modern metropolis. • Summer solstice fashion was brilliantly presented in the Blue Hall of Stockholm City Hall, a tall red brick building. It is in the Blue Hall that the Nobel Prize banquet is held annually. The fashion house offered a very practical wardrobe, inspired by Scandinavian culture and associated with a unique place of female triumph. The muse of the collection was Selma Lagerlöf, a Swedish writer and the first female Nobel Prize laureate. • Among the items demonstrated on the catwalk was an elegant dress - a variation on the theme of the Swedish blouse dress. The brand diluted its classics with Scandinavian touches such as tassels and pom-poms. Pom-pom detailing added color throughout the collection, appearing on the signature cashmere peak-collar coat in a soft camel hue and on a tailored sleeveless jacket adorned with folk-inspired fringed tassels. Max Mara creative director Ian Griffiths included images of mini vests, which were reflected in the collection's rugged sleeveless blazers with raw hems. And the famous camel coats received a “leg of lamb” sleeve as a decorative detail - like from the last decades of the nineteenth century. • There were many off-the-shoulder dresses in the line. These dresses cleverly combine the gathered front with puffed sleeves and skirts. The ivory shirt was paired with black bows or untied bow ties. The collection also showcased overtly modern silhouettes such as fitted vests and trousers, silk shirts and boxers, all paired with tall flat boots. A touch of contemporary style was evident in the bomber jacket and sweatshirt, presented in black and white checkered mohair fringe with sequins. • Delicate folk style cross stitch embroidery seen on smocked silk shirt dresses. These embroidered or jacquard flowers adorned organza shirts, boxers, layered suits, vest midi dresses, and a series of enchanting full dresses, each with an undeniable charm that defied classification as a traditional dress. • Models paraded in over-the-knee lace-up high-top boots with thick soles. Another interesting find is the wreaths of paper flowers on the heads of the models, made in the neutral graphics characteristic of Max Mara.
