If you’re looking for bar recommendations for Tokyo, who better to ask than Rogerio Igarashi Vaz? • In this second episode of Nikka City Shakedown, the co-founder of Bar Trench, No.43 in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2021, takes us on a tour of his favourite area to grab a cocktail in Tokyo. • Picking up a Japanese lemon along the way, we then head to Bar Trench to create this delicious Sazerac: • Ingredients: • 50ml Nikka From The Barrel • 2 bar spoons of Acacia Honey • 4 dashes of Bitters • 6 dashes of absinthe • Method: • Coat the glass with absinthe and let it chill in the fridge • Pour all ingredients into a mixing glass and stir until chilled • Pour the chilled mixture into the absinthe coated glass • Garnish with the Japanese lemon peel on the rim of the glass • 50 Best Restaurants TV is the official YouTube channel for The 50 Best Restaurants brand, which publishes annual lists of the opinions of thousands of international restaurant industry experts.
