I truly love some of the artistry that came out of the 60s and 70s, when music lyrics were actually poetry and instruments were utilised to their full potential. Gentle On My Mind was originally written by John Hartford, telling the story of a homeless wanderer whose thoughts always come back to one past love. It was later popularised by Glen Campbell. Shout out to the terrific ‪@MasonCroneMusic‬ for the banjo tutorial! I'm not wearing fingerpicks here as they make the banjo a little too loud, and I have an issue with one of my strings which you can hear, makes a kind of twanging sound which needs fixing.
