The first thing I did with this tool is blow my breaker. • After purchasing a 1970’s Rockwell/Delta Uniplane, I needed to bring it back to life so I could use it in my shop. This video touches on the 6 steps I took to restore it. These steps apply not only to the Uniplane but most other power tools in a shop. • Steps for Restoration • 1. Check face flatness • 2. Check for accuracy of depth gauge • 3. Check for accuracy of angle measurements • 4. Replace/reset the cutter head teeth • 5. Check the condition in the cabinet and of the belt • 6. Preventative maintenance • Thanks as always, be safe, and happy woodworking! • Josh • Northwest Craftsman • ************** • Connect • Instagram:   / northwestcraftsman   • Facebook:   / northwestcraftsman   • Email: See contact section • ************** • Products Used: • 36” Level: https://amzn.to/3e2n78N • Carpenters Square: https://amzn.to/31Rn2Qp • Extended, 9in, 1/8 Allen Wrench: https://amzn.to/3gIJx0G • Feeler Gauge: https://amzn.to/3vGZVnA • Gates 3420 Drive Belt: https://amzn.to/3cPE1rF • Gearwrench Combination Wrench Set (Metric): https://amzn.to/37LedLF • SC Johnson Paste Wax: https://amzn.to/31NDXU7 • Simple Green: https://amzn.to/3cBDFVy • Socket Set: https://amzn.to/3ovNE33 • Ultra Sharp Diamond Sharpening Kit: https://amzn.to/3mvkMpT • Ultra Sharp II Diamond Sharpening Kit: https://amzn.to/3e3nuzN • Audio Credits: • Room for Two by Dan Lebowitz (Licensed by YouTube Audio Library) • More Audio from Soundstripe**: • https://app.soundstripe.com/referrals... • *As an amazon affiliate, your purchases provide a small amount back to the channel at no extra cost.
