Long-term memory is generally considered to have an unlimited capacity and thus is never full . I explain different types of long-term memory which can be broadly divided into explicit (or declarative) memory and implicit (or non-declarative) memory. These can then be further divided into semantic memory and episodic memory (both explicit) and procedural memory (implicit).
