This is a common problem for all Audi A4, A6 2001 to 2008 (B6 and B7) owners, who have a car with automatic continuous variable transmission (Multitronic). After using the car for a few years the transmission control module gets faulty. Approximately in 90% of cases the problem is that some of TCM sensor's aluminium wires are broken and there is no electrical contact anymore. • When this gearbox TCM fails, it will normally start with the “PRNDS” light flashing on the dash when driving instead of just the “D” symbol. This fault will normally start out as intermittent, but always becomes more permanent with time. When the “PRNDS” light comes on, the gearbox will normally go in to fail-safe mode and lose power. Other common symptoms include complete loss of reverse gear or no drive at all. • This video will help you to understand, how to fix TCM by yourself and save your money. • All you need is a special soldering flux for aluminium and a good soldering iron. • Here's a list of fault codes that could be caused by this problem: • 17090 - Transmission Range Sensor (F125): Implausible Signal • 17106 - Transmission Output Speed Sensor (G195) • 17114/P0730/001840 - Gear Ratio Monitoring: Incorrect Gear Ratio • 17134 P0750 Shift Solenoid A-N88: malfunction - Value of resistance too great. • 17137 P0753 Shift Solenoid A-N88: electrical - Output dose not have a contact short to earth • 18201 - Transmission Output Speed Sensor 2 (G196): No Signal • 18226 - Pressure Control Valve 2 (N216): Electrical Malfunction • P1818 - 007 - Short to Ground - Intermittent - MIL ON • Here are the equipment Links: • Soldering Kit For Aluminium • http://amzn.to/2zfdWQ7 • Soldering station For Aluminium • http://amzn.to/2iqnuhd • Tweezers Kit • http://amzn.to/2zdyqbM • Cutting tool to Open TCU • http://amzn.to/2xSlLaX • Extra accessories • http://amzn.to/2hx9vX4 • High Heat Epoxy Glue • http://amzn.to/2zrgDyG
