This video is a result of the work of two undergraduate students at Universidad de los Andes, Chile: Alberto Hurtado and Tomás Vergara. We wish them good luck in defending their final project! • The video shows the displacement response of a building-and-site model subjected to an in-coming wave-field which contains all types of waves (body waves and surface waves) using the domain reduction method via the H5DRM load pattern in OpenSees. Post-processing is done in STKO. • The system in question is the new building for the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Univesidad de los Andes, Chile. The seismic input comes from an artificial earthquake source representing San Ramón Fault, some 10 km away and is produced with our ShakerMaker python library (https://shakermaker.readthedocs.io). Deformations shown are highly amplified. • The simulation was done on two nodes (32 processors) of our in-house HPC cluster (blackpearl) and took about half an hour to compute. • See also: https://opensees.github.io/OpenSeesDo... • ----- • www.joseabell.com
