Most people who experience cardiac arrest at home, work or in a public location die because they don't receive immediate CPR from someone on the scene. As a bystander, don't be afraid. Your actions can only help. • If you see a teen or adult suddenly collapse, call 9-1-1 and push hard and fast in the center of the chest to the beat of the classic disco song Stayin' Alive. CPR can more than double a person's chances of survival, and Stayin' Alive has the right beat for Hands-OnlyTM CPR. • To help people remember how to do Hands-Only CPR, The AHA created a PSA of a family dinner turned disco party to Street Corner Symphony's a cappella version of Stayin' Alive, and a PSA featuring a heckling sports fan. • The AHA created these awareness-building PSAs to encourage people to visit heart.org/handsonlycpr and to watch the Hands-Only CPR instructional video to learn the easy steps to save a life with Hands-Only CPR. • For more informative videos go to: http://newsplexnow.com/
