Waves crashed through the windows at Bay Breeze Restaurant Bar last Thursday during a powerful storm that caused $5 million of damage across Birch Bay and Blaine. • The floor of the restaurant is warped, the windows are boarded up, and the full extent of the structural damage is unknown. • “It’s surreal, it really is,” Bay Breeze Manager Jessica Pangilinan said. “I still have a hard time grasping the fact that it’s gone.
