It is a large working-class, close-knit, multi-ethnic community suburb, covering approximately 4 square miles (10 km) of well maintained streets and homes. Historically, the area was called Dutch Neck, Down Neck, or simply the Neck, due to the appearance of the curve of the Passaic River. The Ironbound is part of Newark's East Ward and is directly east of Newark Penn Station and Downtown Newark, and south and west of the river, over which passes the Jackson Street Bridge, connecting to Harrison and Kearny. • Wikipedia • • 00:00 Merchant St, Ironbound, Newark NJ • 00:17 St. Stephan's Church, built in 1874 • 00:25 Wilson Ave • 00:27 Ferry St • 01:05 Clover St • 01:54 Jackson St • 02:14 Market St • 03:26 Ferry St • 03:53 Former Firehouse 8 (on the right) • 06:56 Peter Francisco Park (left) • 07:06 Newark Penn Station • 07:19 Mother Cabrini Park • 07:28 Market St • 09:04 Jackson St • 09:14 Jackson St Bridge / Passaic River • 09:21 Entering Harrison NJ
