59 Delivering a 2008 G36 Bonanza Quick Flight Review

This week we delivered a 2008 G36 Bonanza to our customer near Bakersfield after picking it up for him in Oklahoma City. We did a pre-buy for him and did some minor fixes back at OCR Aviation in Long Beach before delivering it. He had to sell the T210 that we featured last year in a video due to having difficulties finding insurance coverage, so he decided to buy a newer model Bonanza G36 instead. It's a lot easier getting insurance in the Bonanza due to better parts availability and less gear-up landings overall. • The Beech Bonanza came in many different variants and is the longest continuously produced aircraft on the market. This 2008 Beechcraft Bonanza G36 also has the Tornado Alley conversion which adds a turbocharger to the IO-550 engine (also available for the IO-520). The turbo provides the engine with sea-level power up to 20,000 feet and improves low-altitude speeds. It's close to a $60,000 upgrade but well worth it. • We do have some Bonanzas coming in here in February 2022.
