Zojirushi Travel Mug Review

Hi Guys, today I’m reviewing the Zojirushi travel mug. LINK to Zojirushi SM-YAE48GA Travel Mug, 16 oz - http://amzn.to/1PV0x0Y This is 16 oz and comes in this green, cherry red, dark cocoa and stainless. It measures 8.6 inches tall and weighs 11 ounces. The mug is designed to hold liquids hot or cold for hours. The interior is stainless steel. • Link to Zojirushi SM-YAE48GA Travel Mug, 16 oz - http://amzn.to/1PV0x0Y • The lid set has the lid cover with the gasket. This is where you sip from. The safety lock with open and lock positions. Button that you push to open the lid. This is the stopper and stopper gasket. This gasket and the lid cover gasket can be removed when cleaning. Put the gasket back in the right way or it will leak. There are clear instructions and pictures in the manual which is really helpful. The manual is really well written and detailed especially for a simple product like a travel mug. The lid set can be soaked for a few minutes in warm soapy water and rinsed off. Hand wash the mug, the unit is not dishwasher safe. It’s easiest to clean the mug right after use. • There is a max fill line so don’t fill above that.Zojirushi states water poured in at 203 degrees fahrenheit should be 178 degrees after one hour and 133 after 6 hours. If you start with cold water at 40 degrees fahrenheit, it should be 50 degrees at 6 hours. I’m going to pour water at 203 degrees inside and check back in an hour. I’ll check back in another hour. As you can see, there is no leaking at all. • It’s best to use the mug for water, coffee and tea. It’s not for soda, soup or dairy. The water will decrease in temperature over several hours like most insulated mugs. I like the size and design of the Zojirushi. The safety lock is great because there are no leaks which is one of the most important things you look for in a travel mug. This mug is great for adults and easy enough for kids to use and you don’t have to worry about anything spilling all over their lunch bag. I have a sore throat right now and I leave this mug by my bedside to sip from at night. It’s an extremely useful product. • The link to the Zojirushi travel mug is in the description above.
