In this video, we will be studying about the 2nd physical feature of India which is the northern plains. The northern plains are also called the Indo-Gangetic plains because Indus and Ganga form the two major river systems that make the plain. The northern plains of India are very fertile and hence intensive agriculture is practiced on this land. Hence, this is also one of the most densely populated regions of India. • The northern Plains are not totally flat, but slightly inclined from the Shivaliks as we go downstream towards south. The relief feature of the northern plains can be divided into four parts: • 1. Bhabbar • 2. Terai • 3. Khadar • 4. Bhangar • We will study about all this in detail in our video. • Must buy book for GK test preparation: • http://amzn.to/2IsK6JT • If you feel that this video was in way helpful to you and you want to support us financially to make more such videos • then you can contribute to us on Paytm. • Our Paytm no. 9852108896 • You can also visit our website: www.thevedicacademy.com • You can also like our facebook page: The Vedic Academy • Thank you for watching this video
