One in 1,000 babies are born with clubfoot each year. It's a common birth defect, but you may not be familiar with it because it's immediately treated here in the U.S. However, in remote regions of the world, where access to medical care is absent or limited, clubfoot not only threatens the future of the child. It can bring blame on the mother. • The mission of Hope Walks is to free children and families from the burden of clubfoot through early treatment. Part of this treatment involves use of a foot abduction brace. • Jackson Healthcare recently partnered with Hope Walks by hosting two on-campus brace painting events, where our associates transformed these braces into objects of joy that will bring healing to over 100 children in Kenya. • You can learn more about Hope Walks by visiting https://www.hopewalks.org.
