My new amp (summer 2018), Wangs OD-30 30 watt tube amp that I bought through Wangs Amps USA (link at bottom of description for anyone interested). This a great little tube amp from China. Run through if the clean channel, dirty channel, with Overdrive pedals. Don't be fooled by its place of origin, these are great amps made with quality components and very impressive build quality. • UPDATE!!! 6 months later, I'm still very happy with this amp. Probably one of the best amps I've owned. I felt it was a bit bright sounding at first; but after I put an older cab with more broken in speakers under it and got the chance to really turn it up and push it a bit, that brightness went away. I'm guessing the tubes just needed breaking in. I guess when I replace the stock tubes (Ruby), I'll find out for sure. I really feel this amp is comparable to the PCB based amps that companies like Marshall and Fender are building in their domestic factories - the amps that are marketed to professional musicians but are not using point to point hand wiring. It is certainly a lot better quality than the budget tube amps that the major European and North American brands outsource to China. I credit this to a combination of the cheaper labour costs over there and the fact that the companies outsourcing their budget lines are paying a mark-up to the the factory while Wangs is based in China and building it themselves. I'm now considering getting one of the Wangs hand wired models. • Other gear : 2008 Gibson SG Faded Special with Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro bridge and Jazz Neck, Marshall 1936 2x12, TL Pedals King Klon gain stack (Klon stacked into 1/2 King of Tone) • https://wangs-amps-usa.myshopify.com
