Download the tool, URL:http://download.cnet.com/NetScanTools... • and install it • • 2. Launch the NetScan Tools Pro Application • 3. If you using a Demo version of NetScan Tools Pro, click start the dimo • 4. Log on to Windows 7 virtual machine • 5. Back to NetScanTools window, in the left pane click manual tool(all), • select ARP Ping tool • • 6. Select send Broadcast ARP, then Unicast ARP radio Button, Enter IP address of windows 7 • in target IPv4 address, click send ARP • • 7. Dislpay the Response time along with MAC address of the target machine • 8. click the ARP scan (MAC Scan) tool in left pane, under manual Tools(all) • 9. Enter the range of IPv4 address in the Starting IPv4 address and Ending IPv4 address tables • 10. click Do Arp Scan • 12. Dislpay IPv4 addresses of all devices connected on LAN, along with thier MAC address, • I/F manufacturer and Hostname • • 13. Click DHCP Server Discovery in the left pane, under manual (all) • 14. Ensure that all the discover options are checked, Discover DHCP Server • 15. Dislpay all the active DHCP Server located in the network • 16. Click Ping Scanner in the left pane, under manual (all) • 17. Click Use Default System DNS radio button, Enter the range of IP address in the • Start IP and End IP tables. • Choose a browser to view the result, A report displaying the number of active IP addresses • • 18. Click Port Scanner in the left pane, under manual (all) • 19. Enter the IP address in the target Hostname, select TCP Full Connect radio button • 20. Click Scan Range of Ports • 21. Dislpay all ports and thier destinations
