How to Install new treated wood floor on Utility Trailer • We replaced the deck boards for our new to us utility trailer. Several of the boards were completely rotted through and my son had to nail two sheets of plywood to haul it loaded with stuff from my mom's place. The original builder did not use treated boards and had a VERY light coat of paint that came off after one summer. This was how we replaced them because many utility trailers use these grooves as holders for the boards and they are welded on after the boards are installed.
