As an average it is about 5% of total cells in bone marrow in healthy individuals. So it is not normally found in peripheral blood. • These myeloblasts give rise to white blood cells of the granulocytic series such as neutrophils, eosinophils and basophils. • So these myeloblasts are the youngest cells in the myeloid lineage. Then they can develop in to promyelocytes, myelocytes ,metamyelocytes ,band cells and mature cells. • The development of granulocytes from myeloblasts is called as granulopoiesis. • When we consider the morphology of myeloblasts, • • They are round to oval in shape, diameter between 14 to 18μm. Centrally located S, C or V-shaped nuclei that have less dense chromatin. • There for we can see 3 or more visible nucleoli with well defined nucleolar membrane. • And they have relatively small basophilic cytoplasm. Usually cytoplasmic granules can not be seen in myeloblast. But leukemic myeloblasts may contain few granules or auer rods which consist of 1ry granules. There for presence of auer rods indicate malignant condition. • The cytoplasmic membrane tends to be regular without much denting, bumps, pseudopods or shedding. • Accumulation of abnormal myeloid precursor cells including myeloblasts in blood and bone marrow can lead to develop AML. It results reduction of thrombopoiesis and erythropoiesis as well. Thus anemia, bleeding and recurrent infections are more common among those people. • However it is necessary to differentiate myeloblasts from lymphoblasts, especially in leukemia classification. • So in my next video I am going to discuss differences between myeloblasts and lymphoblasts. • …………………………………………..FINISH………………………………………………………………………………………….. • • • • • ***************************************************************************************** • Key Words : - • Aladdin,Creations,Myeloblast,WBC,Immature WBC,What are Myeloblasts ?,Leukemia,Acute myeloid leukemia,Hematology,Hemat,Stem cell,Medical lecture,Medicine,Medical,Cells,Blood,Haemopiesis,Laboratory Science,Medical Laboratory Science,MLS,MLT,Laboratory,Acute Myeloblastic Leukemia,MYELOBLAST mean, what is myelblast, myeloblast meaning, myeloblast definition, myeloblast explanation, what is the meaning of myeloblast, what does myeloblast mean
