Actinic Keratosis Frozen with Cryotherapy Auburn Medical Group

Actinic keratosis pre-cancerous skin lesions are frozen with liquid nitrogen cyrotherapy to cause frost bite to kill the pre-cancerous skin cells. Untreated actinic keratosis can go on to become the skin cancer, squamous cell carcinoma. A topical chemotherapy cream, 5-fluorouracil can be applied to the skin to treat actinic keratosis.
