π’ SUBSCRIBE IF YOU ARE NEW AND TURN THE BELL ON π • The history of Earth is a long and fascinating story that spans over billions of years but it can get a little complicated so here's a more simple version! • The Earth was formed around 4.6 billion years ago from a cloud of gas and dust which was made from the formation of our sun. Over time, gravity pulled this material together to form our planet! I know pretty cool right • around 4.5 billion years ago our moon was created but do you know how? it was created when a planet the size of Mars called Theia crashed into the earth and the bits left formed the moon! • During this time Earth wasn't the place that we know it today it was instead a hot, molten ball covered in volcanoes with no atmosphere ... crazy right at least you could roast marsh mellows though • over the next billion years meteors struck the earth and in these meteors there was small chunks of ice, slowly very slowly very very slowly the earth filled with water and around 3.5 billion years ago the first form of life was created in the form of simple, single-celled organisms that lived in the oceans • In time these evolved into multicellular life and the first complex organisms, iincluding algae and early animals were born. This period also saw the formation of the islands from volcanoes erupting these then moved thanks to tectonic plates to create the first supercontinent called Rodinia • 650 million years ago Earth had it's first Ice age where most of the planet's surface was covered in ice this is also known as snowball earth... well because the earth looked like one giant snowball. The most recent ice age ended around 10,000 years ago, this wouldn't concern me that much as I live in Slovakia where it gets really cold in winter! • the first dinosaurs appeared around 230 million years ago this was known as the Mesozoic Era. They ruled the Earth for over 150 million years before being wiped out by an asteroid impact. • Us humans have only been around for a tiny fraction of Earth's history. Our species emerged around 300,000 years ago and only began to develop agriculture and civilizations around 10,000 years ago. • In the last few hundred years, humans have had a significant impact on the planet, including pollution, climate change, and habitat destruction. Many people are now working to find ways to protect the environment and ensure a sustainable future for our planet but that might be tricky as there as now over 7.8 billion people! • @kidsviewfunfacts • ***Audio Artlist : Space Out, Aves • Check out our website: • π https://kidsview.website2.me/ • π§ [email protected] • β‘οΈ Facebook • / classicchildrensstories • • π¬CHECK OUT OUR OTHER VIDEOS π • βΆοΈ Uncovering the Story/History Behind the World's Biggest Shoe Brand Nike • β₯ • Uncovering the Story/History Behind t... • βΆοΈ The mysterious world of pirates ARGHHHH (fun facts about pirates for kids) • β₯ • Skull and Crossbones Tales: The myste... • βΆοΈ The History of PokeΜmon - The Story of an Iconic Franchise • β₯ • History of Pokemon Cards: From Poker ... • βΆοΈ The History of Super Mario • β₯ • Super Mario Saga: The History of Supe... • πππ§π ππ¨ π¬ππ π¦π¨π«π ππ¨π§πππ§π π₯π’π€π ππ‘π’π¬...? • π Like the video (it helps a ton!) • π¬ Comment if you made it till the end! • π Share the video with anyone you think it might help :) • Thanks for being with us! • If you like this video please SUBSCRIBE to our channelβΊβΊ • Millions of Years in the Making: The (simple) History of Planet Earth | The Story of Our Blue Planet • -------------------------------------------------------------- • #history #planet #earth • ------------------------------β½------------------------------
