In this video, we work with an exceptional female swimmer with ambitions of getting her speed back to a comfortable 1:20 per 100yds. She's been swimming with some of the best swim coaches (Steve Haufler with GoSwim) since her youth, and has fantastic technique to show for it, but feels she's lost touch with small aspects of her freestyle – perhaps not pulling as much water as she used to. So, for this we took a close look at 3 different things: • 1. coordinated hip rotation – hands are slipping out front because the power generated from the hips is not being used at this phase • 2. the breath – a swimmer's worst enemy • 3. the kick – emphasis on the up-kick • Finis swimwear and gear: use code FreestyleTri for 20% off – recommend a snorkel and zoomer fins for mentioned drill work • About the SwimLab: • Based out of the San Francisco Bay Area, Jenna and Miguel are helping swimmers achieve their swim goals with in depth swim analysis and remote swim coaching. • Learn more at: https://www.workingtriathlete.com/swi...
